— UNDERSTANDING TRIAGE
Why might someone be seen before me?
Patients are not seen in the order they arrive. All patients are assessed on arrival, and treatment is prioritised according to clinical urgency.
This means someone who arrives after you may be seen sooner if their condition requires more urgent care.
Our clinicians regularly monitor patients in the waiting area to ensure everyone receives care based on their needs. If your condition changes while you wait, please let our team know.
Triage helps us provide safe care
The most urgent patients are treated first, regardless of when they arrive.
If your condition changes while you're waiting, please notify a member of our team immediately.
What should I bring?
To help us provide sage and efficient care, we recommend bringing the following items with you:
Medicare card (if available)
Pension, Healthcare or DVA card (if applicable)
Current medications
Relevant medical information
Details of your usual GP
Don’t worry if you don’t have all these items with you.
If you require urgent care, please still attend the clinic.
